Concord and Claremont Railroad consolidates under special act with New Hampshire Central Railroad Company (whose property later was sold or abandoned) to form Merrimack and Connecticut River Railroad , effective May 3, 1853.

New Hampshire Central Railroad Company property is acquired by the Merrimack and Connecticut River Railroad is surrendered to the trustees of the first mortgage, by and whose account it was operated.

Concord and Claremont New Hampshire Railroad incorporates with the consolidation of Contoocook River Railroad, Merrimack and Connecticut River Railroad and Sugar River Railroad in the State of New Hampshire.
